Review Razer Mamba Elite Mouse In 2023

The Razer Mamba Elite is an excellent right-handed wired gaming mouse. It has a sleek, black design that looks a lot like other Razer mice. It also has 20 RGB zones that can be changed to fit any gaming setup. It’s great for gaming because it has a short time between clicks and the CPI and polling rate can be changed. Even though it’s a little on the big side, any hand size should be able to hold it with a palm grip. However, people with smaller hands may find it a little too big for a fingertip or claw grip.

Design

The Razer Mamba Elite looks like other Razer gaming mice, like the Razer DeathAdder Elite, but with more RGB zones. There are RGB lighting strips on both sides of the mouse. Each strip has nine zones, so there are a lot of ways to customize it.

Like most wired gaming mice, this one can’t be carried around easily. It might not fit in most laptop cases, but people who want a gaming mouse for their desk probably won’t care about that.
The Mamba Elite feels well-made, like most Razer mice. It is made of thick plastic and has no loose or wobbly parts. But the scroll wheel feels a little loose because it leans to the side.
Because of its ergonomic design, the Mamba Elite is only good for right-handed use. The sides have latex grips that make it easy to hold the mouse firmly, and the buttons are close and easy to click. This mouse works well for all hand sizes if you hold it in your palm. However, if you want to use a claw or fingertip grip, it may be a bit too big for people with small hands.

Control

The Mamba Elite has two more buttons on the side, a profile button and a CPI button on top, and L/R horizontal tilt buttons on the scroll wheel. Except for the profile switch button, all of the other buttons, including the up and down scroll buttons, can be programmed. This gives you a total of 11 buttons that can be programmed.
The scroll wheel on the Mamba Elite is pretty standard, and it has RGB lighting. But unlike some other Razer mice, this one has programmable L/R tilt buttons on the side.

Operating system and software

This mouse works perfectly with Windows, but you can’t install Razer’s Synapse 3 software on macOS. If you program a button on a Windows PC, it will only keep those settings on a Mac if they aren’t Windows-specific commands, like Ctrl+C.

Razer Synapse 3 is good software for managing your mouse, and it works well with the Mamba Elite. Even though the Razer software isn’t available for macOS, your mouse’s onboard memory will remember your settings when you plug it into other PCs, including a Mac. If you sign up for an account, the Razer Synapse 3 software has some extra features, like saving profiles to the cloud and connecting all your Razer products. Check out the Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury if you need a mouse that works well with macOS. Or, the SteelSeries Prime+ is a gaming mouse with an OLED screen on the bottom that lets you change sensor settings without having to use extra software.

Operation use

The Mamba Elite has an optical sensor with a maximum speed of 450 IPS and 16,000 DPI. It also has a tilt scroll wheel and nine buttons that can be set to do different things. Even though there are a lot of buttons, this isn’t really made for MMOs, but it can be used for them. If you want to use this mouse to play games, I think it works best for first-person shooter games. When I use this mouse to play Fortnite, the click latency is great, and I haven’t noticed much lag. It’s a well-rounded mouse because it’s comfortable to use and you can change the CPI and polling rate.

I’ve noticed that the click sound isn’t too loud, which makes it great for everyday use or for the office. It’s also great for people who want to add shortcuts to certain PC programs because they can map buttons to them.

I haven’t really found many bad things about the Razer Mamba Elite. We got this at Target’s clearance section for $19.99, but it’s definitely worth a lot more than that. As someone who has carpal tunnel and often gets sore wrists from using mice that aren’t well-designed, I’m always looking for a mouse that fits my everyday needs and is easy on the wrists. The Mamba Elite was a good choice. I’ve used this mouse to play Fortnite multiple times, and I’ve also used it for my nine-hour-plus work days, and it’s worked great both times. Whether you’re a student or an adult who works, this mouse is great for a light gamer who wants to use it for more than one thing.
