The KLIM Lightning is one of the best keyboards for gaming that you can buy on a budget. It’s well made, the semi-mechanical keys feel great, the RGB lighting is subtle, and the warranty is long. The Chroma isn’t the same, even though the name is similar to that of another brand.
It’s all made of membrane, which turns off most gamers. Even though I can’t really recommend this keyboard to PC gamers on a tight budget, it still has a place.
1. Like these things about the KLIM Chroma
One of the best things about the Chroma is that it can be used in or near water. Even though you won’t be using your computer in the shower, it’s nice to know you can finish your work if you spill a cup of coffee on your desk. On the bottom of the keyboard, there are small holes that let liquid drain out.
Like most keyboards made for gaming, the Chroma has a good amount of backlighting. You get a full RGB setup with a number of profiles, and it looks great. The colors are bright without being too much, and it’s also not too bright. The best part for lighting fans is that no extra software is needed. Everything just plugs in and works, and you can control it all from the keyboard.

The cable also looks and feels pretty cheap. On some keyboards, the cable is braided, but this one’s cable can get all tangled up if you’re not careful. It’s a small thing, but it’s worth pointing out.

The KLIM Chroma is a good keyboard in its own right. It’s perfect if you want something different from the plain, boring keyboards you’ll find in most offices. The RGB isn’t too loud, the keys are quiet and responsive, and it won’t break if you spill your coffee on it.
But it’s not the one to get if you’re a gamer, which is who it’s meant for. At the same price, the KLIM Lightning is the best keyboard for gamers. It has semi-mechanical keys and is a great choice.
